Enduring a debilitating disease for many years now has taken a mental toll on the electro monk. Being under the influence of heavy opioids, antidepressants and various disease-modifying drugs while writing music has resulted in a delirious mix of highs and lows, reflecting his state of mind as time has progressed—the downtempo, trip-hop soundtrack to a fever dream from which there is no escape.
